Why Are My Levels Gold?
As you play Candy Crush Soda Saga, you may notice that some levels turn gold after you beat them. What does this mean?
I am going to explain what golden levels are and how to get them.
How Golden Levels Work
- You need to beat a level the first time you play it.
- If you lose, you will never get another chance to turn the level gold.
What Are Golden Level Tiles?
As you beat levels in the game, they will light up.
Normally after beating a level, it will be a shade of blue and show the number of stars you have. Sometimes when beating levels afterward, they will be golden instead.
How Do You Get Golden Levels?
There is only one way to turn a level into gold. You have to beat the level the first time you try it. If you lose and retry the level again, it will never become gold.
Gold Levels Look Neat but Don’t Offer Much
I can not think of any compelling reasons to get gold levels. There is no way to see how many golden levels another player has. So you can’t show them off to other people.
I suppose, if you enjoy mastering the game, it might be fun to see how many levels you can beat on the first try. But other than personal satisfaction gold, levels will provide few benefits.
Is There a Reason to Get Gold Levels?
There is one reason to get gold levels.
In some events, I have seen the game require you to complete golden levels to make progress. These events are the only time I have seen gold levels have any benefits.
So gold levels are not useless. But the benefits are quite small outside personal satisfaction.
