Magic Jigsaw Puzzles is a digital puzzle game. The game is like having many digital jigsaw puzzles.
I downloaded the game months ago, and I have not put too much time into playing it. I have downloaded and solved some puzzles in the past, though.
Gameplay Review
The Game Has Good Puzzle Options
The game functions well enough, and there are multiple puzzle options. You can change the sizes of the puzzles, and you can adjust if you want to rotate pieces or not.
These options are what I expect in a game like this, and Magic Jigsaw Puzzles gets them right. Well, most of the time.
The Game Has Some Bugs
I found an odd bug while playing the game. The puzzle I was solving glitched on me or something. I was putting pieces where I knew they would go, but nothing happened.
I ended up restarting the game and going back to the puzzle (I will explain later why this is very annoying).
When I restarted the puzzle, I had to start over from the beginning. This is unacceptable for any game.
Presentation Review
The game looks nice enough, and the puzzles have good pictures. There are also plenty of themes and puzzle packs to choose from.
The game has good enough sounds and music. But I played with the game muted most of the time. I suppose though at least the game tried by having some music at all.
How Does This Game Get You to Spend Money?
The Game Sells You a Currency
This game, like most mobile games, has a currency. It sells you coins, and you use these coins to buy puzzle packs. This is one way to get more puzzles to play in the game.

The Game Sells you to buy puzzles outright by spending money. There were only a few puzzle packs that cost money, though.

This game has a subscription. It is the Magic Jigsaw Puzzles VIP subscription.
This removes ads in the game and allows you to make puzzles from your own pictures. This also allows you to have access to exclusive puzzles.

- You can pay $8 (USD) a week.
- $10 (USD) for three months, then the end three months are $20 (USD).
- You can pay $100 (USD) for a year.
Why This Subscription Is Bad
This is a huge waste of money! This is very greedy pricing!
This is not a one time purchase! This is a subscription! That means you would need to pay $100 (USD) every year!
Not even my favorite game ever is worth $100 (USD) a year. These developers are crazy and out of their minds if they think this is the value of their game!
I have not seen such a thing before. This is the worst deal of a game I have ever seen.
If the game was a one-time purchase of $50, (USD) that would be a better purchase.
This price would be very high. But compared to the current revenue model, I could maybe justify it if it was a one time purchase.
These developers need to price the game way differently. This kind of greed is why people hate mobile games.
I sooner order some real jigsaw puzzles from Amazon than pay this much for a game.
Is This Game Fair for People Who Don’t Spend Money?
You can download a limited number of puzzles each month for free. You can also save up coins and buy puzzle packs. You can also download user-created puzzles for free.
But you can’t create and use your own puzzles without paying for the VIP subscription.
How Does This Game Annoy You?
I am OK with free games having ads. This is an easy way for developers to make money, and most of the time, it works OK.
This game goes over the top, though, and it is very annoying.
You have to watch ads to play free puzzles. The game has you watch two video ads before each puzzle. This alone would be OK. Maybe.
But the game also randomly interrupts you to show video ads as well. This is very distracting, and I hate this a lot. Games should not interrupt players when they are having fun.
Overall this ad structure is very aggressive and very annoying. It made me not want to play the game anymore.
My Overall Thoughts on Magic Jigsaw Puzzles
Magic Jigsaw Puzzles has potential to be good. There are many puzzles, and they work OK enough.
But the game is monetized so much that I get the impression the developers are greedy. This is ruining the game.
Do I Recommend People Play Magic Jigsaw Puzzles?
No way! The game is OK has some free puzzles to play. But there are other similar type games to try.
Will I Play Magic Jigsaw Puzzles After Reviewing It?
At first, I was going to consider playing the game more. But due to the bugs, and the number of ads I was very frustrated and decided to delete the game instead.
I decided that the good this game may have was not worth dealing with. I rather go back to Google Play and try to find another jigsaw puzzle game to try.
