Scrubby Dubby Saga Review

Game Got Deleted! WOAH!

Since writing this review, King has decided to close Scrubby Dubby Saga. I now feel silly for writing a review for a game that doesn’t exist anymore.

Bubbles!

Scrubby Dubby Saga is the 11th game I am going to review in my Keep It or Delete It review series. Scrubby Dubby Saga is a match three game about sliding pieces around on a grid.

A disk, and a circle with a x in it.

Game Review Information

I started to play this game years ago. I recently started playing the game again for this review. This has never been a game I played a lot. I was on level 57 at the time of this review.

Gameplay Review

The Game Is Somewhat Fun

The game is OK to play. You slide the match three pieces along a grid, and you move them into place to make matches. This is quite different compared to most match three games.

There are multiple types of levels. Some levels require you to find pearls, and some are about removing bubbles.

The Game Is Difficult

This game is very hard, and there is only one powerup you can use in levels. There are not boosters you can use at the start of levels either.

I feel like this game could use some balancing. Or some way to make the levels easier.

The Game Has No Events

Most match three games have some kind of events that make levels easier. Scrubby Dubby Saga has none of these types of events. The game does have quests, but they are extremely basic and don’t help too much.

The Game Seems Abandoned

This game has never had any major updates. It seems King is no longer interested in this game.

This seems a bit odd as the game looks good, and people have put some effort into making the game.

Presentation Review

The Game Looks and Sounds Fun

Scrubby Dubby Saga looks very good. King normally makes good looking games, so that is expected.

The game sounds good. I like that the game has multiple tracks of music as well. This type of music is not my favorite, but it sounds decent.

Your Friends Show up in Levels

On certain levels, the friends you rescue are pictures of people you have friended on Facebook and with a King account.

I thought this was neat when this game first came out as I have not seen anything like this before.

How Does This Game Get You to Spend Money?

The Game Sells a Currency

You can buy gold bars, but these gold bars are not used for much. You can refill your extra lives, continue after losing levels, and buy hammers.

Is This Game Fair for People Who Don’t Spend Money?

Somewhat. I feel as the game does not help you much with very hard levels. There is no easy way to get powerups and boosters for free.

How Does This Game Annoy You?

When you run out of lives, you must wait for them to regenerate. This is very annoying.

Overall Thoughts on Scrubby Dubby Saga

Scrubby Dubby Saga is a game that looks and sounds great. It could use some patching and updating, though.

Now that the game is dead that is never going to happen, though.

A 3 star review

Do I Recommend Scrubby Dubby Saga?

No. There are more updated and fun games from King to play.

Will I Play Scrubby Dubby Saga Anymore?

No. There are many more fun and interesting games from King to play. Also, this game is not being updated much.
