Poker Heat Leagues Guide 1

Time to Compete in Poker Heat Leagues

Leagues are a significant part of Poker Heat. In this guide, I will explain what leagues are and how you can earn free things from playing in them.’

The Current Poker Heat Leagues

Each League has three divisions. You start each League at division three and work up to division one. You need to move up in divisions to advance to the next League.

There are currently eight leagues. The top three leagues have special nameplates. People will see you in are the Master, Legend, and Playoff leagues.

How Poker Heat Leagues Work

Leagues do not include all Poker Heat players! Only a random selection of about 50 players compete in each league. Most leagues last about three days, but some early leagues are faster.

You want to move up the league leaderboard as much as possible. Most leagues have leaderboards with three sections. Green, Yellow, and Red. The game calls these the Promotion, Safe, and Relegation Zones. But for simplicity, I will refer to these zones by their colors.

  • Green Zone: Promotion
  • Yellow Zone: No change
  • Red Zone: Demotion

Leagues become more demanding as you move up in leagues and divisions. The yellow section will get smaller, and eventually, there will not be a yellow section! You either move up in league/divisions or drop.

You move up and down in leagues based on the number of chips you win playing hands. Note this is your total chips won. So if you win but also lose them, only the chips you won matter to league performance.

Other players will try to win chips along with you, and the league dance will begin! People will move up and down league spots frequently before leagues end. But from experience, things are usually about settled, as they will get a few hours before a league ends.

The Playoffs

The Playoffs are different from the rest of the leagues. I am going to explain how. Since I have never been in the Playoffs, everything I am writing here is based on what I learned from reading things in the game.

First, it is only sometimes available. The game will tell when it is, so don’t worry about missing it.

You must move up from the Legend league to get into the Playoffs. When this is available, there will be a green zone, just like the other leagues.

The Playoffs have three divisions, just like the other leagues. But instead of being called divisions 1, 2, and 3, they are called quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. I assume you move up from each section the same way as other leagues.

Based on what I read in the game, you can get placed on a global leaderboard if you do well in the Final League. Everyone playing the game sees this one.

The Poker Heat Playoffs leaderboard is global, and all players see it. The player on this screenshot has won it 85 times.

The effort I need to put into Legend league is hard enough. Any time I was in Legend and could have moved into the Playoffs, it was realistically impossible. If you can do it, you have my respect. I can’t earn hundreds of millions of league points in a week. Not at the stakes I play.

Oh yeah. Just like in the Legend and Master leagues, you get a unique avatar border. The league name is shown in yellow text next to your name. People will know when you are in the Playoffs league.

What Is Jump Now?

Jump Now exists so that people who can win a lot of chips do not have to stay in a league for the whole time. It lets you move up fast out of early leagues.

If you win enough chips in a league, Jump Now will appear. Then, if you can win enough chips to fill the Jump Now bar, you will instantly jump to the next league. The league will start right away.

You will also receive the prize for coming in first for the league you left. You can get another Jump Now or do well on this new leaderboard!

League Rewards

Ego Boost

First of all, doing good in leagues is an ego boost! While many players are in Legend, I don’t see many in the Playoffs. These players are probably playing poker stakes higher than I am willing.

You have to win a lot of chips to stay in Legend. People who see you are in the top leagues (should) know that means you are a top player and mean business.

Also, every time you finish in the top three league positions, the game records these stats in the legacy section of your profile. I know people look at this because one person was trying to make me feel bad for not having any gold medals. Well, I have many now, asshole!

Crowns and Free Chips

The league you are in determines the number of chips you get from wheel spins, friend gifts, and collecting chips with the free chip button.

You also get chips for each league finish. You get more chips for playing in higher leagues and finishing in higher positions! You also get crowns in the same way.

The benefits of all the poker leagues. You get extra chips mostly.

But you should note that you get fewer chips and crowns for finishing in very low league positions. Leagues are top-heavy. Leagues reward the top three players the most, and the rest get a small reward overall. To profit from leagues, you need to be highly competitive.

This top-heavy structure creates a paradox. It is better to be in a lower league and come first rather than move up and finish in the red or yellow zone. I have found success in letting myself lose in leagues to a very low point and then winning my way back up. It sounds very anti-competitive, but the rewards can be better with this structure.

How to Move up in Leagues Consistently

To consistently do well in leagues, you will need to win a lot of chips. You will need to play poker as often as you can during leagues. You will need to play poker consistently or win big to stay in a higher leagues.

Things start becoming competitive at the Master league. Note this also when the yellow zone starts to shrink, and eventually vanish.

From experience, I needed to win tens of millions of points to get into the Legend league. I sometimes end up getting a jump now into Legend and this takes somewhere around 30 – 40 million points.

Staying in Legend needed even more points, and it was hard for me to do. I sometimes cling on for life with somewhere around 50 million points.

To do well in the Legend league takes hundreds of millions of points. My best league finish was 145 million points, which still had me in about 10th place!

I only assume people in Playoffs routinely have hundreds of millions of league points. Maybe even billions. I can’t confirm this but I would not be surprised.

You may want to consider playing in higher stakes. But be careful! You won’t be able to compete in any leagues if you lose your entire chip bankroll!

A wise player would play cautiously as often as they can. You want to make the best of your current situation. You might not be able to get into higher leagues right now. But you still want to compete the best you can.
