Poker Rings?
Rings are a collectible in Poker Heat. I will explain what these rings do and why you would want them.
What Are the Rings in Poker Heat?
Poker Heat shows the rings on your avatar or personal picture when playing poker. Currently, there are eight rings to collect.
- Heat Ring
- Showtime Ring
- Fury Ring
- Red Burst Ring
- Phoenix Ring
- Aurum
- Armor
- Torch
In case you are curious I am currently working on getting the Aurum ring. When I published and last updated this guide I had 7761/12500 required crowns.
Why Collect Rings in Poker Heat?
The Rings Look Nice
The rings look neat, and I appreciate the artwork. I am not a fan of real jewelry. But I like the virtual ring designs.
I also like the over-the-top descriptions each ring has. Each ring has a little story attached. These descriptions fit the feel and tone of the game very well.
The Rings Are Signs of Skill
The rings are a sign of skill. You need to play consistently to get enough crowns to get each ring.
If someone has some of the later rings in the collection, this is undeniable proof they can play and win poker for some time. Some rings I have not seen even once! But I don’t play the higher stakes in the game, to be fair.
You Get Free Chips
Collecting the rings is a way to get a free chip bonus.
You get millions of chips each time you collect a ring. A few rings give hundreds of millions of chips! Rings provide a huge chip boost.
Though oddly enough, the last rings in the collection offer fewer chips. Playtika got cheap for some reason.
How Do You Get Rings in Poker Heat?
You Need Ring Crowns
So now that we know what the rings are and some reasons to like them, how do we get them?
You need to collect Ring Crowns to get each ring. There are two ways that I know of to get Ring Crowns. You need to fill the Crown bar and compete in leagues. You need to collect Ring Crowns to get each ring. There are two ways that I know of to get Ring Crowns. You need to fill the Crown bar and compete in leagues.
Some events might give crowns? I think I remember at least one event doing this.
How the Ring Crown Bar Works
You earn crowns by filling a bar. This bar is shown at the top of the screen when playing hands and on poker tables. As you win poker hands, the bar will fill up by percentage points up to 100%. Once it gets to 100%, you receive some crowns.
The amount of crown points or percentage received varies depending on the poker stakes you are playing and when you win the hand.
You always get a higher crown percentage when winning at showdown and after betting more chips. I don’t perfectly understand this system. But if you are getting to the river and winning hands and ideally winning a lot of chips, you will eventually get crown points.
Some tables give bonus crown points, and the bar also fills faster. You can see this on the table selection screen. These tables will have league points boosted.
When playing on these tables, your crown bar will also be boosted, and you earn crowns faster.
The first crown bar is unique because you can fill it up at your own pace. Things change once you get the first bar filled.
Each future bar will give more crowns when filled. I don’t know the rate at which the crowns increase. But it is worth the time to keep filling the bar if you can do so.
But wait! Things are more challenging. Each future bar after the first bar has a timer. If you don’t fill the bar before the timer expires, you lose your crown bar progress and get sent back to the first bar to start all over again.
Get Ring Crowns From Poker Leagues
You will get chips and crowns as you play and finish in Poker Heat leagues. This guide will focus on the crowns rewarded.
You get more Ring Crowns for being in higher leagues and finishing higher in each league. But you also get more crowns for coming in first place at a lower league like Master, for example. The rewards are given this way because leagues have a top-heavy reward structure. What does that mean?
The top three players in a league get almost all of the reward pool. The following ten or so players get a smaller and more modest reward. The rest of the players get very little. It is quite an insulting consolation prize. It feels like being a kid and being given a participation trophy.
Because the reward structure is like this, it leads to a paradox. You get more crowns for purposely dropping in league and moving back up than staying in a high league.
You will get crowns, no matter what, for just playing in leagues. But unless you are in the top ten or better, those crowns might be only one of two.
If you do well enough in a league to active jump now, you instantly get the first-place rewards for that league.
Don’t expect to get many crowns from leagues unless you are winning them. Even then, the crowns you get will still be less than filling the crown bar about two or three times. Playtika needs to up the league crown rewards.
How to Get the Most Poker Heat Ring Crowns and Rings
Fill the Crown Bar a Lot of Times
Fill that first crown bar as often as you can! If you always fill the first ring crown bar every time it resets, you will get crowns frequently. Get a timer app and time each bar to take it to the next level. So you know when to keep playing.
Of course, if you can fill future bars, do that! But be careful not to play too risky poker to get crowns. Getting crowns won’t save you if you go broke and have no chips unless you get that next ring.
Participate in Leagues
If you did nothing but play poker and collect the league reward every league, you will get a few crowns for hardly trying. At least bother to log in and get those league reward bonuses, even if they can be pretty pathetic sometimes.
Also, as mentioned before, you get more crowns for winning leagues. So try to move on to the leaderboard when you can during leagues.
Play Higher Stakes
If you are desperate for Ring Crowns, you can always play higher stakes than usual. I don’t recommend doing this, but it is a tactic that can work as long as things go well!
