Time to Eat the Chocolate
In this guide, I am going to teach you how to easily beat chocolate levels in Candy Crush Soda Saga.
Chocolate can be quite annoying to deal with and get rid of. A statement I never thought I would ever make, but it is quite valid and true in Candy Crush Saga games!
What Are Chocolate Levels?
In Chocolate levels, you need to clear every visible piece of chocolate from the level. Once all the chocolate is removed, the level ends.
What Is Chocolate?
I love to eat chocolate. Not so much in this game, though.
In Candy Crush Soda Saga, chocolate is a blocker that spread and grows if you do not match near it and remove some of it. Every turn, chocolate will expand to a new piece of candy. Chocolate will remove and destroy special candies if it can cover them up.
Chocolate will only slow down if you remove a piece of it. If you remove at least one piece of chocolate a turn, the chocolate won’t spread.
There are two types of chocolate in the game. Levels can have milk chocolate and white chocolate.
White chocolate doesn’t start to show up until you get to around level 100. White chocolate speeds faster, and it can take up to two hits to remove. Both versions of chocolate can be on the same level, and they both can spread independently.
How to Remove Chocolate?
- Make a match near a piece of chocolate.
- Active a special candy that targets chocolate.
- A random match removes some chocolate before the turn ends.
Chocolate Level Advice
Always Match Chocolate if Possible
You should try to make matches near chocolate often. Even if you only remove a single piece, it can be worth it to do so. Making these matches slows chocolate down.
Use Special Candies
Using individual special candies won’t do too much. But when combined, these candies can potentially remove a lot of chocolate.
How to Use Candy Fish
Candy fish are not useful early in chocolate levels. The best time to use candy fish is later on in levels when there are fewer pieces of chocolate to target.
A single candy fish normally will only target one thing. So you will want to combine candy fish with other special candies as often as possible. Using candy fish on color bombs or coloring candies can end levels before chocolate spreads.
Don’t Let Your Special Candies Get Removed!
If chocolate can cover a special candy, it will remove it when it does. If you see that chocolate can reach a special candy, try to use the candy as soon as possible.
