Best Fiends Seasons Guide

Best Fiends Seasons Guide 1

Seasons are a way to get extra rewards in Best Fiends. In this guide, I am going to explain what seasons are and how to earn the most rewards from doing them.

What Are Seasons?

Seasons are long events that allow you to earn extra rewards from playing the game. You earn rewards by completing daily tasks and getting medals. If you buy the season pass, you get extra rewards in addition to what you can get for free.

How Do You Earn Rewards in Seasons?

You earn rewards by completing tasks. Every day there will be a list of tasks you can complete. Once you complete the first set of three tasks, you will get bonus tasks.

The tasks often involve doing things in levels.

  • Collecting certain color blocks
  • Using certain color fiend powers
  • Defeating slugs
  • beating new levels

There are also side tasks you can complete. These side tasks often require you to use keys or upgrade fiends. These tasks tend to be quite simple, and you can complete them much more often. These side tasks don’t give as many points, though.

As you complete tasks, you earn medals. Once you get enough medals, you get the next season reward.

What Are the Rewards You Get From Seasons?

You get many different things. The nicer rewards require

  • Fiend styles
  • Gold
  • Keys
  • Level start boosters
  • Mega boost time
  • Meteormites
  • VIP time

Note you only get new fiend styles after getting all of the current season rewards. Or after buying a season pass and getting 30 rewards.

What Is the Season Vault?

After collecting all 40 standard rewards, you start to get rewards from the vault. After getting so many medals, you will get a reward.

At the end of seasonal events, you can keep playing for rewards. I did not find the rewards from the vault to be very exciting. I suppose the vault gives you something to do during the end of a season, though.

What Is the Season Pass?

The season pass gives you extra rewards during the season to unlock. The rewards you get are nicer. You also get a chance to unlock a special style only available as a season pass reward.

I paid about $5 (USD) for the season pass when I bought it. Keep in mind the season pass only lasts for the current season!

I Bought the Season Pass

I have bought a season pass twice.

Why?

I wanted to see what it was like. I also wanted to buy the season pass to experience it. So I can write about it for you reader!

Is the Season Pass Worth It?

Is it a good idea to buy a season pas in Best Fiends? The answer depends on how much time you want to dedicate to it.

If you know you won’t spend the time to get enough medals to unlock the unique style, then no. You might as well save your money and get the free rewards. If you know you have the time to get all or most of the rewards, then buying the pass might be worth it.

Before you decide, check the styles being offered. If you know these styles are for fiends you won’t ever use, then don’t bother trying to get them. It won’t help you.

The style offered in a season pass I did in the past was for Howie. I don’t use Howie anymore at all. I see no reason to when I have Thorn and Elanor unlocked. I suppose I could have just completed all the free rewards and still been happy. But I decided to buy the pass because I felt the extra rewards would be helpful.

How Do I Earn the Most Medals?

Complete as many tasks as you can in a day. Remember, you only get medals from completing tasks. You only complete tasks playing world map levels. No other type of level counts.

You Don’t Always Have to Beat Levels to Get Medals

Tasks often don’t require you to beat the level to complete them. But you need to play the current level you are on. So if you notice you are completing tasks, even if you are losing levels, back out and let the game count them as completed.

Only tasks that state you need to beat new levels require a win to complete. Some tasks require you to beat levels the first time you try them.

Use Season Rewards in the Future

Save season rewards for when you need them! You don’t have to claim rewards right after getting them. Just make sure to get them before the season ends! Before claiming reward chests, tap on them to see what is inside. If a reward is not time-based, I claim it right away. Otherwise, I save them for when I need them.

I save VIP time rewards for when I will have an hour or so to play.

I save mega boost time for levels I am unbearably stuck on. Often you only get enough free time to beat one or two levels. So save them for the most desperate moments.

I save free powerup timers for when I know I will have the time to use them.

Tips on Beating Side Tasks

If a side task requires you to spin the bonus wheel, using VIP time will help a lot. You will be able to spin the wheel without watching ads.

Side tasks can require you to use keys sometimes. I often will save and hold onto keys during seasons. If a side task requires opening crates, I will already have enough keys.

Side tasks that require leveling up fiends are annoying. I refuse to level up fiends I won’t use. So these side tasks take me a long time to complete. I might cave in and level up any fiend eventually.

You can repeat side tasks about once every four hours or so. So if you have the time, you can do multiple of these in a day.
